When Ilayla* (26) joined 2bfree, she was depressed after everything she had been through. She had even made several suicide attempts. Now she herself is an employee at 2bfree and helps others with a story just like hers. “Many women go through what I went through. Ilayla tells how she became a victim of men, who used false promises and a fake passport to lure her into their web of lies, prostitution and abuse. “I deserve love, but was treated like a piece of trash.” That 2bfree came her way ended up being her salvation. “I went to one of their high teas. I felt so welcome.”
Warning
Traumatized as she is, Ilayla wants to say little about her personal story. However, she does have a warning for all women like her: “Many women, living difficult lives, are an easy victim for bad men. They are lied to by people who promise a lot and pretend to give love. They lie with forged European passports and these women are deceived by many men all over the world. We believe them and become victims of human trafficking!”
Trust
“Life is not easy. Therefore, as women, we have to be careful. We should not be naive, know who we are dealing with. The best thing is to be your own boss and not trust anyone. Especially not when they are playing with your health and life. I am a woman myself and I experienced this tragedy, but I want to be an example for all women everywhere to not easily trust people who promise you great things in life.”
“That is why I want to make this appeal to all women wherever they are! I myself come from a country, where women are treated badly. Unfortunately, it is still the same today. Also because corruption is very high in my country. It is a fact that criminals cooperate with the police. This allows the perpetrators of crimes against women to have their way.”

“I am very happy to be a part of 2bfree. Every time I can’t wait to come here! I feel very happy here. That’s also why I became a volunteer, because I want to help where it’s needed. I want to contribute as much as I can. I have seen many women here, including women who come from the country, where I lived before. To them I want to help, even if only a little, with everything they need.”

Ilayla says she and 2bfree want to help as many women as possible. “They have the right to unconditional love. They have the right to know that they are loved. That they are worth it. They are princesses. That’s how they should be treated. I thank 2bfree for letting us experience that we are valuable! That they have given us this opportunity where we can speak out about what we have been through and our suffering. God is great! I believe He helps people.”
Ilayla says she wants to continue volunteering as much as possible, regardless of the language she wants to learn to speak even better. “I enjoy helping with things I can do that suit me. That I would one day be able to use my talents like that, I never dreamed. I thank God on my bare knees, because I am doing very well. A few years ago, I would never have dared to think that.”
